金鶯今天(12日)用3支全壘打轟炸對手，終場以6比5擊敗紅襪，完成本季第1次的系列賽橫掃。
第1局Adam Jones擊出陽春全壘打，第3局換成Nolan Reimold開砲，比數被拉近之後，第4局Manny Machado再來1支陽春彈穩定軍心。
終場金鶯以6比5贏球，3連戰清盤紅襪，完成本季第1次系列賽橫掃。賽後金鶯29勝30敗，明天開始要跟美聯東區第1名洋基進行3連戰，是戰績進補的大好機會。
金鶯總教練Buck Showalter說：「我們要保住這股氣勢，明天再帶來球場。」
紅襪先發投手Wade Miley只投4局(失5分)就退場休息，還跟總教練John Farrell在休息室爭吵，賽後Miley表示：「5天出來先發1次，你會想要投得越久越好，雖然我心情有點受到影響，但這就是比賽的一部分。」
